Executive and non-executive roles and advisory

Gerrien works as an interim director and advisor at global corporate organizations and non profit. She helps boards of directors and management with their growth ambitions, in a way that does justice to their people and organization. To enable value creation and (team) development, instead of asking managers and employees to work in new ways within the boundaries of their old business model.

Gerrien has been a member of the supervisory board of the Examenkamer, which independently guarantees the quality of exams and examinations as a supervisor for every sector and industry, and a member of the supervisory board of the Marnix College. She has been appointed as a member of the supervisory board and chairman of the remuneration committee of Allegoeds Vakanties as of January 1, 2024.

She has also been member of the PE committee of the Erasmus Governance Institute, Erasmus University. Gerrien was an elected member of the NCD membership council of the Dutch Association of Commissioners and Directors. Previously, she was a supervisory member at the GAZO Foundation, a primary health care organization, and a member of the supervisory board of the Leprosy Foundation. Gerrien is part of the audit and remuneration committee with the specializations HR, legal & governance and organizational development.

Music Festivals, Broad Welfare and Innovation

Gerrien’s activities in the context of women’s emancipation at the VVAO and developments in the labor market support her passion for equal opportunities for everyone and broad welfare. In 2017, as chair of the Innovation Committee of the Koninklijke Industrieele Groote Club, she organized an Innovation trip to Silicon Valley and LA, which laid the foundation for her book “Anyone can park a Tesla” about leadership in digital transformation. In addition to her career, Gerrien has set up and led a number of (classical) music festivals, which she combines with her love of travelling – “have stories to tell not stuff to show”. Gerrien was admitted to the What is Your Legacy | Vrouwen met Kracht collectie van Topvrouwen.nl.
